Alaska developed into a larger than average dog who moved with the grace of a gazelle. She had a calm, loyal temperament, with the original indifference and wariness to strangers of older generation Leonbergers, but is exceptionally loving towards the family. Her world focus was on the family and no-one else! She was extremely good with new additions and puppies in the home, but was a bit bullish to unknown dogs on the walks! She had an amazing sense of humour and was very vocal with her “talking” whenever she greeted you or you had told her off!...... an absolutely hilarious combination of grunts and howls!
