Saturday was an exciting day and very long! From 2pm to 9pm we were seeing the new owners come to collect their new family additions. We get such a buzz from seeing our lovely pups go to their new homes.

Our house is now so eerily quiet, from 16 pups to 1 pup the noise levels drop considerably!! We have decided to keep a lovely Storm girl, yet again succumbing to the Leo ‘call of the wild’!! What is that saying again … “10 is not enough?”  LOL! We have named her Korea, in line with our countries theme for home bred beauties!

Saturday was also very sad for another reason as we had to re-home Delta. We gave Delta a home in July last year when the owners very sadly had to re-home her. Unfortunately, she never settled completely with our older girls, and as time went on things got worse and we realised that we had to find her another home.

Sometimes you have to admit to yourself what is best for the dog, and not to keep them just for your own emotional reasons…..hard to do, but sometimes necessary and this was one of those times.

She went to the same home in Scotland as one of our pups and now luckily has the Scottish Highlands as her playground with her new playmate.

Korea is fascinated by great aunt India ….

Especially when she has a chew!!

Our big red girl Lightning is pregnant and is due to give birth in a couple of weeks. She was mated with our home bred cracking lad Simba (Leonmoor Kesterel). You may remember that Simba was recently awarded PAT dog status. We have already had quite a few enquiries about Lightning’s litter so if you are interested then do not delay in contacting us and we can organise a visit for you to meet us all.

Our adorable little Korea has settled in well after losing all her litter mates to their new homes, and now has just big hairy adults to play with! Alaska has decided to adopt her, even though Korea is Storm’s baby! India as usual takes her under the clan’s wing and already Korea looks up to her with a look of awe! So cute! As you can see from the pictures below she just lays and looks adoringly at her!

Korea’s toilet training was slow for the first couple of days as she persisted in peeing and pooing in the middle of the kitchen away from the newspaper … and then standing in it!! Joys of puppy-hood! However, what a difference a couple of days make, she is now 98% on the paper after a lot encouragement. In her defence, she was used to the pen with the wood shavings which were in the opposite direction to the newspaper, so she has done very well considering.
