All of our puppies from Lightning’s litter have now been reserved. Our next litter will be from either Austria or China in the summer, we already have a few reservations in place for them so if you want a puppy from either of these two beauties for around August/September time then please let us know.

The puppies are now just 10 days old, all growing well, varying in weight from 700g to 1000g.

Our little Korea jumps around the outside of the pen barking and getting all excited; she thinks they are her old litter mates and tries to get them going to play with her!! … unfortunately at 10 days old they cannot even see her let along get up!!

Korea is complete buddle of joy. She has got all of the big dogs eating out of her hand, all getting excited to see her when we let her out to play. Her toilet training is very good now, she had her first dry night, rushing out in the morning to go before she had to use the newspaper!

Updates; New pictures for Simba (litter 3), Kenzo (litter 8), Eva (litter 8), Ilse (litter 7).

We had Finland, China, Austria and Africa X-rayed for their hips and elbow scores which we will get back from the BVA (British Veterinary Association) sometime in the next couple of months. Our vet that we use is one of the very few that sedate the dogs and does not give a general anaesthetic for the X-ray procedure. Much safer and less traumatic for the dog and us we have found!! They also happen to be skilled enough to give you an estimate of the score you are likely to achieve, which is marvellous as it can put your mind at rest while you are there!!

We have found that their scoring is deliberately harsher than the official result you end up with so you can have some confidence that no unexpected surprises arrive in the post two months later! We have added these estimated scores under each of the dogs and will amend with the official results later.

In summary, they all have great hips and elbows! No dog over 10 in the hips which is marvellous news!

We now have only 2 girls remaining to find homes for!! If you are interested in one of these beautiful pups from this cracking litter then please contact us asap to avoid disappointment. Remember the puppies will be ready to go to new homes in early May 09.

We have had the cracking Simba (Leonmoor Kesterel), the stud for Lightning’s litter, over for a photo session as you can see from the front cover! We distracted him with Africa and Austria whizzing past him every 10 seconds at 100 mph when we took them onto the moors!!

Simba is a big lad, around 31˝ inches at the withers, with a lovely black mask. He is also of great temperament, qualifying for PAT dog status last year.

We had Finland, China, Austria and Africa all eye tested yesterday and they all passed, which is always a relief!! Off for their hips and elbows to be X-rayed and scored tomorrow. Its all go!
