Our adorable China is pregnant! The scan today confirmed the pregnancy, showing a large number of pups.
We guessed she was pregnant; the girls are always easier to guess when it is their first pregnancy, after the first it gets quite difficult as they become very good at pretending to be in whelp as they know how it is!
China has already become more vocal, speaking at any opportunity to express her view, and settling in quite readily to the indoor slouching around attitude!

We have mated our lovely China to our handsome chap Thunder! It was on Xmas Day of all days! You have to do it when nature demands with this breeding lark! So just before Xmas lunch there we were with these two beauties frolicking around in the snow!
China was a right flirt and very keen, nothing like her adorable but difficult mum, Alaska, who had a habit of trying to take off the head of the stud until she was absolutely 100% ready!!
So it was a very easy mating; they then mated each day for the next couple of days.
The scan for pups will be in the next couple of weeks and if she is in whelp then the pups will be born around the early March time.
