The little buggers were 4 weeks old yesterday! Rapid awareness development now,

getting to know all the sounds of the house, can smell and hear mum a mile away!

 

All are doing well, weights between 2.4kg for the girls to 2.8kg for the largest boy, remarkably even at this stage.

 

Had their 2nd dose of wormer last night, as usual proving ‘popular’ with the pups!

Took a video of the pups tonight so you can see the little buggers in action after they have just been fed! Click here for the video.

 

Have taken away the whelping pen now as they were about to climb out of it anyway, so they now have their full pen to run around in!

 

They have been remarkably quiet since expanding into the bigger pen as they can now watch the whole household going about its daily business.

 

India takes great pleasure in winding the pups up each time she comes into the house …. She walks up to the pen making her squeaking noises to gain the pups attention, disturbs the pups who wake up and run to the pen side, only for India to walk off wagging her tail as though it is some great game!! …. And now Alaska is doing the same thing!!

 

Africa is so chilled out about everything she continues to be a dream mum!

The pups are 3 weeks old today!

 

They are growing like mad now, between 70g and 200g per day. We introduced them to our special chicken mince and they loved it!

 

No longer do they just sleep or drink milk, now we have a bit of interaction with each other with plenty of half-hearted play fights, similar to slow

motion drunks trying to push each other over!

 

 

11th October 2009

 

All the pups had their first dose of the dreaded worming liquid today at 2 weeks old.

 

All growing well, all well over 1kg now and a very robust and sprightly lot they are too!

 

A few have now opened their lids to reveal the normal blue unfocused eyes underneath. All are walking, albeit shakily, around the pen.

 

Different characters are already apparent even at this tender age.
