Austria’s pups are all growing well. Weights are around the 1kg mark, all of them doubling their weights in the first 10 days which is a good sign.
This litter is very very noisy! At least a couple of decibels higher than China’s! Any opportunity to winge, cry or moan … and they go for it! Big time!
Nearly all of the pups have some really good markings already, some with incredible black masks from their dad, Thunder.
They have the uncanny ability to move in the opposite direction to the huddling group, and then get distressed as they are on their own (albeit it by a coupe of inches!), so get upset and noisier, and continue to go the wrong way until we arrive with ear plugs and a hand to put them back with their mates!
Some great pictures sent in of Bohdi (litter 6) who has climbed Snowdon! This is the highest mountain in England and Wales at 1085 metres high (3,560 feet) and takes a great effort to climb. He really is the spit of his mum, India, in face and body and coat, what a beauty!
Not many Leonbergers get to climb our mountains so this is a great achievement and shows what these dogs can do if kept fit and trim. Well done Bohdi!
